I'm so sorry

Hello, to anyone who reads this blog. I'm Alicia, the creator of this magical space. If you hadn't noticed I haven't posted a single thing in quite some time. There is a reason and it's very personal.

I've been struggling a lot lately with issues I've been dealing with my entire life. They've come around to nearly destroy a great relationship that I'm working my ass off to rebuild. Please understand that there will be nothing to come on this blog for quite some time. I apologize if you're very into reading this but I just can't keep up appearances for the sake of an audience. Thanks for understanding.

Bath Cocktail "Yuzu Fondue"

Yep, that's right. Yuzu Fondue. As most people know fondue is traditionally a pot of melted cheese that folks dip bread in. However, here in 'merica we decided to add chocolate and fruit. Thanks USA, chocolate is so much better than cheese!!

As always lets talk about the bubbles. It always surprises me, and I'm not sure why at this point, that the bubbles actually smell like the bubble bar. I would figure that they'd just smell like bubbles. I know, laugh at me if you want. These beautiful bubbles smelled exactly like chocolate. They were very thin bubbles but they managed to last over 30 minutes in the tub.

When I first put the fizzbanger in the bath tub I smelled the gardenia. I'm not a huge fan of that scent so I was a little nervous but after about 2 minutes the scent changed to an apple scent MIXED with a little gardenia. It was really nice. I guess I can't really say I'm not a fan of gardenia I just need to have it in small doses and fizzbanger delivered that.

When all was said and done, and everything was in the tub the room smelled very amazing. My skin didn't escape that amazing scent either. I smelled of gardenia and apple for quite a few hours.

I do have to say that I am not a fan of how the water turned out. It turned the water into a gray mess of ... I don't even know. I've stepped into some odd colored water but this just looked like dirty dish water. I've used blackberry in the past and it was a lot more vibrant than this. I'm thinking it was the fizzbanger that dulled it down.

This cocktail also left streaks on the side of the tub. I got to these sooner than I did with the Drive In Movie cocktail and they came off quite easily.

Neither the color of the water or the streaks that were left of the tub would stop me from using this bath cocktail again. I loved the way it smelled and I loved the way I smelled afterward.

This bath cocktail features 1/2 of a Yuzu and Cocoa Bubbleroon, 1 Blackberry Bath Bomb, and 1/2 of a Fizzbanger Bath Bomb. See the bath cocktail in action!!

Bath Cocktail "Drive In Movie"

I know this is probably going to sound cliche but what a lush bath this was. It's probably the sweetest bath cocktail I've ever had the pleasure of lavishing in.

Every single scent made it's appearance while I was in the bath. The cotton candy scent from the creamy candy bubble bar, the vanilla from the Twilight, and the lavender from the Pink bath bomb.

The bubbles were quite fluffy, as you can see from the picture on the left, (and no my leg is not actually that big) and they lasted for 30 minutes or so. That's an unfortunate thing for someone who has a jetted tub. When the bubbles last that long you can't turn on the jets because it "re-ups" the bubbles and basically swallows you whole.

My favorite thing about this bath was the fact that I smelled of vanilla and lavender all night long. It actually helped me get to sleep.

Something that I didn't much care for were the pink streaks it left on the side of my tub. I actually had to pull out the bleach cleaner to get them off. I scrubbed with a washcloth and water, a scouring pad, and I finally gave in and squirted some clorox on them and they came right off.

Although I don't have a photo of it, the pink BB also left little pink hearts in the bottom of the tub. This isn't necessarily a problem I'm just not one for "floating friends".

All in all I love this bath and I would absolutely use it again. I think, for my sake, I'd probably sock the pink BB so it doesn't leave friends behind.

This bath cocktail features Pink Bath Bomb, 1/2 a Twilight Bath Bomb, and a small chunk of the Creamy Candy Bubble Bar. See this bath cocktail in action!

Socking A Bath Bomb

Well I guess I'm also having issue with my camera. I know I took photos so that I could post them on my blog and they're not there. I guess if you watched the video you know what the deal is.

My technological equipment hates me.

Secret Santa Demo

Holy cow the massiveness of the bath ballistic is incomparable. I recently watched the Lush video on how it's made and loved the fact that there was a little santa face inside. It fizzed out so fast in the bath that I didn't have time to pick up the santa face and show it off though.

First let's talk about the smell of this behemoth. It smells exactly like walking into a Lush shop. I mentioned it in the video but I'm not sure I can mention it enough. I love standing outside a Lush store and just smelling the amazing mix of products. It's something that has to be experienced, if you ask me. The scent changes slightly when it fizzes out in the tub. You can still smell the Lush in it but you suddenly get a floral scent accompanying it. It was quite fantastic.

Looking at it you would think it turns the water a bright orange. You'd be right. It was almost as if I'd poured liter bottles of orange soda into the tub. The little hints of pink on the windows actually showed themselves a little too.

One of the best things about it was it didn't produce any bubbles. For it's size, and that fact that it's a Lush product, I thought I'd be drowned in bubbles. This, for someone with a jetted tub, is an awesome fact. I know I mention jets a lot but when you've got them you know that once they're turned on most bath bombs product bubbles and you can't have the jets on for long because the bubbles will start to overtake the tub. This one didn't.

Something else I thought it would do that it didn't, it didn't make my bath any more silky than a normal size bath bomb. I was a little shocked, and slightly disappointed, at that. I would figure that it being so large they would have packed it full of oils. I can't say I was disappointed because it was amazing.

I was a little disappointed that it kept leaving odd streaks on the side of my tub though. They came off easily but after draining the tub I noticed that it left some weird flakes at the bottom. This could have very well been the Sandy Santa though so don't quote me on this.

Overall, a great ballistic. I will absolutely be purchasing this again.

If you want to know what I thought about Sandy Santa, I posted something about it right before this post. Check it out.

Sandy Santa

Although I've not a huge fan of Buffy I knew I had to try Sandy Santa the second I smelled it. I don't know how they did it but Sandy Santa smells of chocolate and fruit all at once. If you've ever had one of those chocolate covered oranges, think along those lines. It's fantastic.

On a side note though, don't use this in the tub. Had I been a little smarter and thought this out I would have realized that using a scrub in the tub wasn't going to be comfortable in the long run. I had little sand grains under my butt the whole time. Another reason not to use this in the tub, if you've got a jetted tub like me, it makes bubbles. This isn't usually a problem but Secret Santa didn't make bubbles and I was enjoying having the jets on.

Anywho, onto what I thought about Sandy Santa.

It was quite abrasive. I didn't expect it to be because you can see a lot of the exfoliants embedded in the bar and they don't look that big. I was a little shocked at how harsh it was in spots. My husband loved it though, I used it on his back later that night in the shower and he was in heaven.

I think the strangest part of the whole experience was when the red hat started melting. I actually thought I was bleeding for a second. Not that this has much to do with the product itself it was just a weird fact I noticed along the way.

The odd red streaks the hat leaves on your skin.

All in all Sandy Santa left my skin feeling extremely soft, despite the cocoa butter that usually leaves me feeling weird, and it mixed with the Secret Santa scent and I smelled of a Lush shop that sold chocolate for hours.

Bombardino Bath Bomb

Bombardino is probably the bath bomb that I was most looking forward to. In most ways it didn't disappoint.

First and foremost, and I mentioned this in the demo video, he's so adorable. His little pillow, almost meringue looking, hat just makes you want to eat him up.

He's got eyes. Albeit chocolate eyes that put little brown spots on your tub if you happen to forget to remove them like I did.

When I heard that Bombardino promised a lemon cheesecake aroma I was excited. However it let me down a little. I thought it smelled quite vanilla. I mean that both in the plain sense of the word and the literal sense. I would have loved to smell more lemon and really hope they alter that.

Something else that I found quite odd was that it was selectively silky in the bath. By this I mean that as I rubbed my fingers through the water, and over my legs, I could absolutely feel some parts of my legs encompassed with that silky smooth Lush loveliness. Other parts were left out. I'm not sure if that was because I didn't have the jets on the whole time, because of the bubbles, or if there just isn't enough oils packed into his little tiny body.

Speaking of bubbles, they were great.

Packed inside Bombardino is a beautiful gold luster that sits on top of the bubbles. I was excited to see it at work until I drained the tub and realized that it also stuck to the side of the tub. No worries though. Unlike the glitter encompassing Star Light Star Bright, the gold luster came of with a little water and a swipe of the hand.

I guess everyone has a different holiday smell in their mind and I think Lush went for fruity. It's not that I don't enjoy these scents it's just that it's not what I smell when I think of the seasons. Despite that I will be repurchasing Bombardino next year. I'm hoping they can make him a little bigger though.
